Steve: Nearly There
3rd visit to Evans and almost! We chose the Bianchi and the Felt (I had a last-minute thought about getting the £800 Specialized but it would've meant starting again as they don't do them at the MK branch) - I picked up a Specialized saddle to negotiate; Paul picked up some clip-on mudguards. I left my credit card there last week by accident and rang up and asked them to keep it in the safe. So I go to pay today and none of the staff has the key to the safe so er, what next? I offer for Deborah to phone up from home but it's not allowed. So we have to go back a 4th time!!!! Actually I got Paul's on my debit card but didn't want to risk mine as well. For the inconvenience we got the saddle £40 and mudguards (£35) free, and he let Paul swap the Time pedals for SPDs - then let him keep the Time ones. Finally, the front of the handlebar clamp on mine is silver where the rest is black so I had mentioned about that and he's going to swap it for another one. So pretty good then, just one week to wait. Paul is currently showing Kim his bike and she's trying to be interested. Pictures to follow.

Tim: Good effort from the Bachini boys.
Mudguards, are they allowed? Thought they might count as wimping out, but now I know they're definitely permissible I might get some.
Trouble is, I did about three miles yesterday and was a bit knackered in the legs which was something of a shock. Must get out more.
And meanwhile I goofed up by forgetting to put that DiN order in, sorry. But possibly I can get out of trouble because I've got a copy of Chiasmata coming which I guessed you'd want at €3 - unless you've already got it?

Steve: Certainly not desperate for the Boddy album but if it comes it comes. The review in the SND mag for the new Surface 10 album has them wondering so a sure sign it's good then. They are now doing EIGHT secondhand for £16 (plus £3 postage).
Mudguards are for club runs when it's wet - you are not too popular if you spray the person behind you. BTW I want my bike! After the agonising this is a nightmare although it's too dark for after-work runs.
I got £5 for the Uncertainty Principle which I owe you Tim.
Been playing some Janacek lately - you both should give it a go, Crown Court or no Crown Court.
