nick:  camera
Glad to hear you can load your pictures OK steve. Perhaps the original card you had, and my PC, are both a bit dodgy, and so when combined in use didn't work. Or maybe it's just my PC.

Checking out the review pages and this one has a comparison of Sony and Canon cameras - what I noticed was that the pictures taken by the Sony one seem a bit more contrasty than the Canon (the Bailey's label shows this), and the comments on the page suggest that this difference is a characteristic of the two brands, so maybe that accounts for the difference that we noticed too.

I'm going on the men's church walk this weekend and the camera guy will be there so maybe I'll pick up some tips from him.

Comments:
Blogger Tim: I thought Jim Crace sounded a bit familiar. More so than Amin Maalouf, that's for sure.

I was hoping someone would tell me about a web site, like that music one which attempts to relate similar artists together, but I guess I'll just take a few risks anyway.

Blogger nick: do you mean like ?

Blogger Tim: That's it! Cheers.

Try putting Jim Crace in and watch all those other good authors flee in haste.

Blogger Tim: Tried it?

Blogger Steve: Actually I've read Quarantine (didn't like it) and Being Dead (did like it). What a poor memory I've got.

I received the Ian Boddy/Markus Reuter CD creation Distant Rituals yesterday, which on first hearing is very good ambient/electronic stuff. That DIN label may be one to watch. Another Centrozoon on its way (not on DIN) from eBay.

Saw the cricket team come past the office this morning which was nice.

Blogger Tim: Chris Meloche also did a CD called Distant Rituals. Coincidence?
