nick: games
I spent a while playing "God of War" - I think I'm almost up to the stage that Matthew got to when he was here. Playing it in "easy" mode means that you don't get held up too long with the battles, and can enjoy the environment/puzzles a bit more. Some of the puzzles are quite good, although nothing's held me up as long as Ico.
Speaking of which, there's rather strange interview in today's Guardian with Ico's creator. Strange, in that you don't really find out very much. The newspaper edition had about threpictures from the guy's sketchbook which looked like very early Ico drawings but nothing very interesting. Anyway, Amazon are listing the Shadow of the Colossus strategy guide with availability next month, so maybe the game will be around soon...

Tim: Pretty sure it's out in the States and Japan (?) soon, and I suppose the guide is ready just waiting for a game to accompany it, but the game isn't due in Europe until early next year.
Bank Holiday weekend - not sure whether to gatecrash the Saturday evening (how much pizza will there be?) or Sunday morning...?

nick: Play.com are advertising it for delivery this October, not sure if that is an import though?
There will be plenty of pizza on Saturday, not sure if any will be left on Sunday though. Tim you're welcome any time, no plans yet for activities...

Steve: BTW just got this email from the man himself:
"Steve,
Hi, and thanks for your order. A copy of DiN 18 is on the way to you.
Cheers,
Ian Boddy"

Tim: That play.com page is specifically for the European/PAL version not US/Japan/NTSC, I expect the date will move into the future (hopefully not of course).
