Steve: Out of Office
I'll be camping from tonight until Sunday then down at Virgin Mobile until a week Tuesday so don't expect much from me for a bit.
Just reinstalled a system in the office last night onto Fedora 3 (was RedHat 6). Went quite well - had a spare disk to do the install on in case I needed to back it out. Did a quick proof-of-concept on a scratch box and found most of the problems there. Can't get the tape to work yet and I can't get people's home directories mounted onto on another Linux box. Just hope I don't get too many interruptions today. It was make or break as I'll not be around for 2 weeks - they need the machine stable for some app they want to run on it.
